[TV]美国电视剧《Friends》中的婚俗习惯

相信大家都记得在《Friends》第五季的最后，Monica和Chanlder掷色子而决定结婚的那段吧，他们在去登记之前，到一个商店"借"了两件蓝色的衣服，这就是根据一个结婚的传统而做的，这就是"Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue and a Silver Sixpence in her Shoe "(凑齐旧的东西，新的东西，借来的东西还有蓝色的东西，最后一个少一些提到，在鞋里面放六便士)，在《Friends》后面的情节里面只要是结婚也经常提到这个传统。（Sex and the city里面也会有）
据说这个传统源于维多利亚时代。Something Old代表双方的朋友都会一直在他们身边和他们在一起；也有一种说法，一个已婚而且婚姻幸福的女士送给新娘一个旧的吊袜带（gater）会给新娘带来好运气使得新娘的婚姻生活也会幸福:) 至于什么是吊袜带可以参考附件，由很漂亮的蕾丝构成，很精致美丽。
Something New则代表了婚后的健康，幸福和成功。Something Borrowed由新娘的家庭给与新娘，意思是从父母家庭那边拿来的爱（为了拿到好运，这些borrowed的东西是必须交还的，不知道片中最后monica他们怎么还给商店的:)）
Something Blue，蓝色代表了忠诚和永久不变，源于古代以色列的新娘头发上绑着蓝色的丝带来象征忠诚。
最后那个Sixpence in her Shoe则意喻着新郎新娘财产合并:)
（不过这个在电视里面少见）
